Bio

Meg Chamberlain

A graduate of the Corcoran College of Art + Design, Meg Chamberlain’s work is symbolic of transition, growth and pop culture. Her work had been described as “visual poetry”. She has been published in Mother Earth News and exhibited through the DCAC and several other venues throughout the country. Her work evokes a visceral response to culture, identity and self exploration. Her preferred medium is 2-D work in either photography or fine art drawing. Her work has evolved into a visual language that is a combination of natural, everyday images and a unique imagery derived from several technical processes. This translates detachment and surrealism throughout her portfolio. She is based in the mountains surrounding Asheville, NC.
